Announcements

General:

  • Becoming greener! - Bulletins will now be printed on white paper only instead of coloured paper.
  • Kitchen Renovations - The old cabinets will be removed on January 6th and the new cabinets installed the week after.  The plan is to keep the existing set-up but modernize it to meet changing health standards: stainless steel counters with molded stainless steel sinks, drawers instead of doors on all cupboards, easy-care melamine drawer fronts, more storage, additional electrical outlets, updated plumbing/flooring, new coat of paint.
  • Canadian Tire Money - is being collected to use towards needed items for the church.  Please place it in the wooden box at the back of the sanctuary.
  • Lending Library - For information, contact Ginnie Braid.
  • Pastoral Care Team - If you are interested in being part of a pastoral care team at Churchill Park, and have time to do some visiting or phone calling to help us keep in touch with shut-ins, please contact Janet.
  • Bridge Club - has resumed meeting on Mondays at 1:30 pm in the lounge(all are welcome).
  • Interest Group for CPUC 15th Anniversary in 2010 - If you are interested, please speak to Janet or call her at 452-8561.

 

The Book Club

The Book Club welcomes everyone who enjoys reading and who likes to talk about good books—or listen to others discussing them. There are no fees (except when we bring in authors from a distance) and no obligations to talk. People who haven’t read the book yet are always welcome to come and hear the discussion before reading it.  Monthly meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month in the Lounge at 7:00 p.m.  March 16th is the next scheduled date to meet.

 

 HOUSE GROUPS:

Churchill Park has nine (9) House Groups to help with weekly worship.

Each House Group handles all worship requirements for 1 month,

including scripture reading, greeting, candles/banners, communion

nursery arrangements, coffee, cash counting and lock-up.

There are no House Groups for July and August so each House Group advances one month each year and gets to work on different events in the church calendar.
